Paper Quilled Rakhis

Rakhi is basically a sacred thread of protection embellished with the love and affection of a sister for her brother and the day is celebrated as "Raksha Bandhan". I enjoyed making Rakhis using Paper Quilling technique !. Although it was painful and time consuming i know my brothers will be really happy after I tie them on their wrists :) Awaiting for your comments :

The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is glued at the tip and the coil shaped, these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns.Paper Quilling is often used today to decorate scrapbook pages, wedding invitations, greeting cards and craft boxes. It continues to grow in popularity because of the inexpensive cost of materials.

Materials  : Quilling Tool , Paper is also needed and comes precut, but you can also cut your own, in 1/8” strips.Glue is needed to put your project together.
